Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use this website or the CauseStack platform. By using either one, you agree to them. If you use CauseStack for an organization, you agree to these terms on its behalf and confirm that you are allowed to do so.

If your organization has signed a separate written agreement with us, that agreement controls where it differs from these terms.

CauseStack is software that installs into your organization’s Salesforce org. You need your own Salesforce org to use it, and your agreement with Salesforce continues to govern your use of Salesforce itself.

CauseStack Essentials are available at no cost. Add-ons (Advanced Forms, Advanced Portals, Alfred AI, QSyncly, Grant Finder and Sign) and professional services are optional and paid, at the prices published on our Pricing page (/pricing). Add-on prices are per organization, per year, not per user. Prices and features on this website describe our current offer. The price that applies to your organization is the one we confirm with you.

Paid add-ons start with a 14-day trial.

Add-ons renew each year. If your organization starts an add-on partway through its budget year, we prorate the price for the whole months left in that budget year, counting the month you start, and the add-on then renews with your budget year.

Prices can change, for example when the costs of providing CauseStack change. We will tell you about any price change at least 60 days before your annual renewal.

When you buy a product we resell, you pay the vendor’s advertised price, as if you bought it directly, and the vendor pays us a fee.

Your organization owns the data it keeps in its Salesforce org, including data it manages with CauseStack. We access it only when you ask us to, for example to answer a support request.

You are responsible for the data you collect and for having the right to collect and use it, including any consent your donors, volunteers, or other contacts must give. Our Privacy Policy (/privacy) explains how we handle information.

When you use CauseStack, you agree not to:

• break the law, or help anyone else break it;
• send spam, or contact people who have not agreed to hear from you where the law requires their agreement;
• try to get around CauseStack’s security, usage limits, or access controls;
• copy, resell, or reverse engineer CauseStack, except where the law allows it; or
• use CauseStack in a way that harms other customers or the services it relies on.

Some CauseStack features rely on other companies: Stripe for payments, AI providers for Alfred, and others named in our Privacy Policy. Their terms apply to your use of their services.

Payments taken through CauseStack forms run on your organization’s own Stripe account, and your organization is responsible for those payments and its agreement with Stripe. If your organization connects Alfred to its own AI provider account, your agreement with that provider applies to those requests.

Alfred produces answers with AI models, and those answers can be incomplete or wrong. Review them before you rely on them, especially before you change records or make decisions based on them. Use on our provider key is subject to daily usage limits.

We own CauseStack, this website, and their content. These terms give you the right to use them as described here; they do not transfer ownership. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

We work to keep CauseStack reliable, but to the extent the law allows, the website and the platform are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the website or the platform.

You can stop using CauseStack at any time by uninstalling it from your Salesforce org. Your data stays in your org. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or whose use puts other customers at risk.

We may update these terms and will revise the date at the top when we do. If a change is significant, we will tell customers directly. Continuing to use CauseStack after a change means you accept the updated terms.
