Deduplication
One person. One record.Cleaned up inside Salesforce.
Find and merge duplicates, and check every new form and import record before it becomes one, at no cost.
The problem
Another dedupe tool is another system to run.
Many nonprofits clean up duplicates with a separate app that works on their Salesforce data from the outside. It’s another license, and the rules that decide who is the same person live somewhere your admin can’t see.
Licenses
Another subscription, often with a seat limit, so one person does all the cleanup.
Your data
Read out of Salesforce by the other tool, compared there, then written back.
Business logic
Matching and merge rules live in the other tool, out of your admin’s sight.
Keeping it in sync
Cleanup runs as a separate job, so new duplicates from forms and imports pile up in between.
Licenses
Unlimited users. Give anyone on your team access to review and merge.
Your data
Stays in one place: your Salesforce org.
Business logic
Duplicate and merge rules are saved in Salesforce, next to the records they clean.
Keeping it in sync
Nothing to sync. New form and import records are checked as they arrive.
Built for these jobs
One clean record for every supporter.
From a one-time cleanup to keeping it clean every day.
Cleanup after a migration
Find every duplicate a data move or an old system left behind, and merge them in sets.
One record per donor
Bob and Robert, Peggy and Margaret: nicknames and sound-alike names are matched, so giving history ends up in one place.
Households & organizations
Merge duplicate Accounts, and with NPSP, clean up the leftover household, gifts and soft credits after a Contact merge.
One receipt, not two
Merge duplicates before year-end so each donor gets a single, complete receipt.
Clean imports
Event lists and spreadsheets: update the matching record, skip the row, or create it and flag it for review.
Clean every week
Run duplicate rules daily, weekly or monthly, and auto-merge the sets you’re sure about.
Program & custom objects
Write duplicate rules for your own objects too, not only Contacts and Accounts.
Every form, checked
Publish as many forms as you need, and every submission is checked for a match before it saves.
Key features
Everything you need to keep one record per person.
Deduplication comes with every CauseStack install, for any object, at no cost.
Exact, fuzzy and sound-alike matching
A dictionary of about 1,200 nicknames, sound-alike names, and addresses standardized before they’re compared.
A confidence score on every set
Each duplicate set shows how sure the match is, so you can review the close calls first.
Duplicates by object
Every duplicate rule shows its object, when it last ran and how many records are still unmerged.
Auto-merge with guardrails
Merge automatically only above the confidence you set, preview a dry run first, and block merges you never want.
Undo any merge
Undo one merge or a whole run. Deleted records, their related records and the old field values come back.
Checks every new record
Forms and imports are checked as they arrive, and a save check can log, warn or block new Contacts, Leads and Accounts.
Duplicate rules
See where your duplicates are, object by object.
One list shows every duplicate rule, the object it checks, when it last ran and how many records are still waiting to be merged.
- Unmerged records counted for every rule
- Last run time and status at a glance
- Run a rule, edit it, or open its sets for review
Advanced Forms · paid add-on
More forms. The same duplicate check.
Forms comes with 2 published forms. Advanced Forms lifts the limit, and every submission from every form still runs through Deduplication before it saves.
Matched before it’s saved
Each submission is scored against your records with the same fuzzy matching your duplicate rules use.
Fills blanks, never overwrites
A confident match updates the existing record but only fills empty fields, so “Bob” never overwrites “Robert”.
Close calls go to review
A close match creates a new record and flags the pair, so a person makes the call.
Not a duplicate? Say so once
Pairs you mark as not duplicates are skipped from then on, by forms, rules and the save check.
Plans & add-ons
Start included. Add what you need.
One price per add-on, per organization, per year. Never per user.
