CauseConnect
Help from your Salesforce team, right inside Salesforce.
CauseConnect is a Salesforce app that makes it easy to reach the people who look after your Salesforce and send them requests, without leaving Salesforce. Every conversation about a request stays in one place.
How it connects
Your Salesforce, your team, and ours, connected
You ask for help where you already work. CauseConnect carries your request to your Salesforce team securely, and you decide how much access they have.
You, in Salesforce
Open Support and describe what you need, from the page where you need it.
CauseConnect
A secure connection at the access level you choose. You can switch it off at any time.
Your Salesforce team
Your request lands in their workspace, ready for a person to pick up.
Why CauseConnect
One easy way to reach us
No email address to remember, no separate login, and no jumping between Salesforce and another system. From inside Salesforce you can send:
Questions Bugs or issues Feature requests Ideas, or anything you’d like us to look at
Ask without leaving Salesforce
The Support page is inside your Salesforce. You don’t need another login, an email address to remember, or a separate ticket system.
Less explaining, faster answers
You don’t need to paste links or take screenshots to show us the problem. With your permission, your Salesforce team can look at your setup directly.
The whole conversation in one place
Every reply, attachment and update stays with its request, so you can look back at what was said and decided.
Always know where things stand
Each request shows its stage, from received to done, and flags new replies so you don’t miss one. If you need more help after a request is closed, you can reopen it.
Guides for your team
Step-by-step guides to how your Salesforce works. They’re written for your setup, and your staff can open them in the same app.
Optional data backups
If you’d like them, CauseConnect can make a full export of your Salesforce data every week or every month.
How it works
From “can you help?” to “done”
Every request follows the same path, and a person owns it at every step.
Step 1 You ask
Open Support in Salesforce and describe what you need.
Step 2 We pick it up
It goes straight to your Salesforce team’s workspace.
Step 3 We work on it
A person looks into it and keeps you posted.
Step 4 We check it
A person reviews every change before it goes into your org.
Step 5 Done
We tell you it’s done, and the history stays with the request.
Getting started
We install CauseConnect in your Salesforce. It installs like any other Salesforce app and doesn’t change your existing data.
You connect it and choose an access level. Connecting uses Salesforce’s own secure sign-in, so no password is ever shared with us. You can change your level at any time.
We set up a dedicated Integration User for CauseConnect’s work. The one-time setup needs Full access. If your level is lower, we’ll ask you to raise it just for the setup, or walk you through creating the user yourself.
You get a quick walkthrough. We show you and your team how to send a request and follow it.
Integration User
You can tell what the system did and what a person did
CauseConnect works in your org through its own Integration User, a separate Salesforce user that exists only for this connection. Your people keep signing in as themselves. Anything in your history that was done by an automated process says so.
Automated work
Automated checks, scheduled jobs and backups, AI-assisted work, and the changes you approved all run as the CauseSpace Integration user. Nothing automated is hidden under a person’s name.
Shows as “CauseSpace Integration”People
Your staff keep their own logins, so everything they do shows under their own names. For work done through CauseConnect, the activity view also shows whether a team member or an automated process did it, and who asked for it.
Shows as the person’s nameWhy this is better for you
A clear history
When you see a change, you can tell straight away whether a person or an automated process made it.
Tightly limited
It’s API-only: nobody can use it to sign in to Salesforce in a browser, and nobody uses a password for it. It’s also locked to one fixed network address, so a stolen key wouldn’t work anywhere else.
Your admins aren’t affected
Salesforce’s security monitoring can freeze a shared admin login that’s used from many places at once. A separate user keeps your own admins safe from that.
The Integration User uses a Salesforce Integration license. Enterprise and Unlimited Edition orgs include five at no cost, so it doesn’t take one of your paid user licenses.

Access levels in plain English
Think of it like giving keys to someone who helps look after your building. You decide which keys we get, and you can take them back at any time. The Integration User holds exactly the level you choose, and Salesforce itself enforces it.
| Level | What we can do | What we can’t do |
|---|---|---|
| Login only | ||
| Read setup | ||
| Read all | ||
| Update setup | ||
| Full access |
Which level should I choose?
| If you need… | Choose |
|---|---|
| Just a simple way to send us questions and requests | Login only |
| Answers to “how does this work?” questions, or a quote for new work | Read setup |
| Help troubleshooting a problem, or help with reports | Read all |
| Ongoing admin support and improvements | Update setup |
| A data import, migration or large clean-up (then lower it afterwards) | Full access |
Start low. You can raise or lower your level whenever you like, and the Integration User’s permissions change to match. Anything above the level you chose is refused automatically. If a request needs more access, we’ll ask you first and explain why.
Clear boundaries
What we can and can’t do
Here it is side by side.
With CauseConnect, we can
Receive the requests, replies and attachments you send us Work in your Salesforce only up to the access level you chose Look at your setup, and your records if you allow it, to understand a problem without screenshots Make the changes you asked for, at Update setup or above Keep you updated on each request inside Salesforce
We can’t
Go above the access level you chose. Salesforce refuses it See or use your Salesforce passwords. They’re never shared with us Sign in as one of your users. The Integration User can’t sign in in a browser Act unseen. Every connection and change is logged under the Integration User Stay connected after you turn it off
Privacy & security
Questions clients often ask
If your question isn’t here, ask us.
Do you get my password?
No. You connect through Salesforce’s standard secure sign-in, so no password is shared. The Integration User’s key is held encrypted and is never shown to anyone, including our staff.
How do I know if a person or an automated process made a change?
Anything done through CauseConnect is recorded under the CauseSpace Integration user. The CauseConnect activity view shows whether a team member or an automated process did it, and who asked for it.
Can I see when you’ve been in my Salesforce?
Yes. Every connection appears in your own Login History under the Integration User. On our side, every access is also logged with who made it.
Does installing CauseConnect change my data?
No. It installs like any other Salesforce app. Your records change only if you’ve chosen Full access and asked us to make the change.
Can I switch it off?
Any time, without asking us. Go to Setup → Users → CauseSpace Integration → Freeze, and CauseConnect stops working in your org straight away. Or keep the connection and just lower the access level.
What happens if we stop using it?
We remove everything we added to your org. We deactivate the Integration User, which frees its license, delete our permission sets and connection settings, and put back any settings we changed. Your users and your data aren’t touched.
Our commitments to you
Working with us should be just a little easier.
You choose the access level, and Salesforce enforces it We never get your passwords Automated work is always labeled as automated Every connection shows in your Login History A person reviews every change before it goes into your org You can switch it off at any time
